Dr. Gorman is a board certified adult psychiatrist. She attended the University of Florida for her Bachelors of Science in Zoology. She completed medical school at Midwestern University-Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and did her Psychiatry Residency at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois where she was chief resident.
Dr. Gorman applies a collaborative approach with her patients. She believes the doctor/patient relationship is a partnership where the patient’s input is an integral piece of her treatment approach. During the initial evaluation appointment, appropriate time will be spent gathering the patient’s history, discussing diagnosis and establishing a treatment plan.
Dr. Gorman believes that therapy is often an important part of treatment. She will work closely with the patient’s therapist or will provide medication management with individual therapy herself.
Dr. Gorman’s areas of focus include (but are not limited to): Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
